Your first appointment is a chance for us to learn about your pet, their usual activity levels, lifestyle, and what we can achieve together. The Hydrotherapist will carry out a gait analysis and a hands on musculoskeletal assessment to evaluate movement, muscle tone, and joint range of motion before discussing a tailored treatment plan. Once we understand your dog’s history, we’ll carry out an introductory treadmill session to help them get comfortable with the sights and sounds of hydrotherapy. We’ll then create a treatment plan that suits both you and your pet and provide regular updates to your vet.

In most cases, your pet will require a number of follow up appointments.  Your pet will be accompanied by a therapist at all times when they are in the treadmill (unless it is behaviourally inappropriate).  After each session your pet will be showered & shampooed if required and towel dried. We always recommend you bring a fleece blanket, towel or drying robe to wrap your pet in for the journey home, especially in cold weather.
